Week 1 and 2
Piano Lab
An exciting introduction to piano playing. This course is designed for children who are studying music for the first time.ย This motivating program develops the studentโ€™s basic musicianship skills through ear training, solfege singing, keyboard solo, ensemble performance, composing, and arranging. A strong program to build self-confidence and the right foundation in piano skills. Instrument provided.

Week 1 and 2

Big or smallโ€“if your child is curious about playing guitar or ukulele with others, this is the class for them! Perfect for a variety of levels, this class will cover the basics of playing in a guitar ensemble, exposing children to the fun of ensemble playing. Must own the instrument

Week 5 and 6
Rock Band Jam

Visual Arts – Exploring Colors
Students will grow their passion for art as we create drawing and painting art projects. Students have fun learning about and creating personalized artwork inspired by art history fun facts artistic movements, Students will learn endless new artistic techniques while enjoying creative exploration, group art games, step-by-step artistic guidance, and tailor-made instruction according to each participantโ€™s needs and interests.

Intro to acting and film making
Students will learn the step-by-step skill set of making a film and becoming the actors and directors of their own creative ideas.

Week 1

Through exploration of the performing arts, children learn how to communicate their own unique ideas.

Week 2

Are you a Van Gogh or a Picasso? Whatever your style, find your inner artist through this extension of Painting Techniques by exploring the history of art through the evolution. You will complete painted works modeled after the style(s) of your choice. You will be sculpting with clay and learning about clay art in other cultures. Your masterpieces may include pottery, figurines, and other items of your choice. Guidance will be provided by an experienced artist.

Week 3

Kids will learn how marine biologists help protect our oceans and sea animals. From cleaning up an oil spill to tracking sea turtles, they get to experience how marine biologists positively impact marine life.

Week 4

Earth Science/Volcanoes – The Earth reveals its wonder and variety as children explore climate, geology and forces of nature. Computer activities and games allow children to take imaginary world journeys to examine the composition of the Earth from its surface to its core.

Week 5

Why do onions make you cry? Do you see your kitchen as your lab? Work collaboratively and individually to explore the chemical reactions necessary for us to enjoy our food. Discover at the molecular level what occurs when dough expands or a sauce thickens.

Week 6

Your child will meet Dr. Dino, a paleontologist who will guide the students as they explore the land of dinosaurs with his friend Terrance, the flying reptile. Kids get to dig in the dirt to experience how paleontologists make fossil discoveries and learn about the world of the past. Donโ€™t miss the FasTracKids Dinosaur Museum, which will showcase your childโ€™s projects!

Week 7

Learn about circuits, lightning, batteries, conductors and all kinds of interesting electricity topics. Electricity plays an important role in everyday life.ย  Students will learn more about static electricity, electric, circuits, lightning, electric shock, volts, amps and much more. The students will learn energy being produced such as water power, renewable and non renewable energy. They will learn about mechanical energy that replaced humans and animals.ย  They will be making a water wheel, and a turbine.ย  Identifying what objects are a conductor and an insulator.ย  They will be building a simple circuit to a light bulb, also a circuit with an on/off switch to a buzzer.

Week 8

Calling all sleuths! Thereโ€™s a mystery brewing at FasTracKids and we need your help to solve it. Children hunt for clues and learn forensic science behind detective work.ย  Young Sherlock Homes will put it to the test to solve an elaborate mystery. Hunt for clues, finger prints, send Morse code messages and then, detective notebook in hand, document your deductions. Finally, puzzle out what the all evidence means to solve the mystery.

Week 9

Our young scientists willย  learn the differences between architects and structural engineers.ย  They will experiment with different materials and methods to construct, as well as break down, buildings! Also will learn about why we build bridges as well as how to construct their own using a variety of materials. Afterwards, they’ll test to see who can develop the strongest bridge! Campers will have fun learning about a variety of structures and what keeps them strong and safe including zip lines and sandcastles. Lastly, they will experiments with using different classroom materials to build their own furniture!

Camp is $395 per week.
10% Early bird discount up until April 15th.
  • Discounts cannot be combined. Only one offer per family.
  • All program cancellations must be in writing; telephone cancellations will not be honoured.
  • Late registration after May 1st, 2023 is only given on program availability and must be paid in full.
  • Programs may not be changed or switched after June 1st.
  • There is a $30 fee for returned checks.
  • Only one discount may be applied where applicable; discounts may not be combined
  • This camp is not a program of or otherwise sponsored by the NYC Department of Education.
  • A deposit of $100 is required to process all camp registrations. This deposit (and any additional payment toward tuition) is refundable prior to April 1st, 2023, minus a $50 processing fee. After April 1st, the $100 deposit is not refundable, but any additional payments made toward tuition remain refundable prior to June 1st, 2023. After June 1st, 2020, no refunds will be given for withdrawal from camp.
  • Camp must be paid for in full by June 15th, 2023. Failure to pay for camp in full will result in a forfeiture of paid fees.
  • DEA Music and Art reserves the right to suspend and/or expel any camper. Refunds, if any, are at the sole discretion of DEA Music and Art

  • I agree to allow my child to participate in all programs and allow the use of any photographs or video for future publicity material unless otherwise specified.
  • I authorize DEA music and Art to make all necessary emergency decisions including medical treatment when I and the pers
