Vocal lessons in Staten Island at DEA Music & Art.
The power of the voice as an instrument is undeniable but it’s very important to know how to use it. In our voice lessons students will get accustomed to vocal techniques and basic performance skills. They will learn how to stand and breathe correctly, control their voice as well as how to expand it’s range.
At DEA voice lessons are taught in Staten Island by world class voice trainers with a minimum of a Master’s Degree level of education who help students discover individuality as a performer and own vocal style. Students will have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at our seasonal recitals.
Vocal teachers at DEA music and art are professional, fun and knowledgeable. All of our teachers are masters in their craft! DEA has multiple programs, performances and events year-round to keep kids busy and engaged.
DEA has always taken the cleanliness of our studios and learning environments very seriously. We disinfect our instruments after each class and students are asked to wash their hands before each class starts!
Benefits of practicing vocals
According to the singing advocacy group Chorus America, more than 32 million American adults sing regularly in groups nationwide. Millions of children enjoy music education as part of their school curriculum as well.
Although many people may restrict their singing to the shower or when no one is around to hear them, there are some surprising benefits of singing frequently — and encouraging others to do so as well!
