Can someone with no experience take drum lessons?
Yes. Tell DEA you are a beginner so the teacher can start with an appropriate introduction to rhythm, stick technique, and the drum kit.
Do I need to buy a full drum kit first?
Ask the teacher before making a purchase. Discuss your space, noise considerations, and goals so you can choose a useful practice setup, which may include a pad or a suitable kit.
Will I learn to read drum music?
DEA’s drum program includes snare drum reading and rhythmic skills as well as musicianship, technique, and drum-set coordination.
