Some children are ready to focus on one instrument. Others want to explore first. DEA’s rock band programs offer different ways to begin, from preschool music-and-art activities to individual instruction paired with band rehearsal.

Which band program should I choose?

Jammers combines music and visual arts for ages 3–5. Rockers introduces ages 5–8 to several instruments. Rock Idol combines private instruction and group rehearsal for ages 5 and up.

What if my child has not chosen an instrument?

Rockers is designed for ages 5–8 who want to explore instruments before focusing on one. Younger children can ask about Jammers.

Are there bands for older students?

DEA’s band offering has included groups for older students. Contact the team with the student’s age, instrument, and experience to ask about a current match.

What does the program cost, and when is it offered?
